Buyers Remorse?

Just take it back. If those things are that big of a deal, don't try to make it work. I would be curious to know why you wanted an Android device...you have an iPhone 13 Pro.

I was an Android user from the very first HTC device all the way through to the S6 Edge. I loved Android and preferred its infinite customisability. I always hated the Apple locked in approach. Once the Apple watch came out, my usage changed a lot. And I use my Apple watch religiously for all kinds of exercise and bodybuilding metrics. And over the years, I flirted with going back to Android because I really missed being part of that ecosystem. But I was never able to find an Android watch that worked anywhere near as well as the Apple watch in terms of what I needed, even the Samsung ones which were great lacked a lot of the specialist apps that I use.

I figured that now that Samsung has adopted Android wear, this would be a great time to come back to android. And I certainly don't feel excited about putting it back in the box and going back to my iphone. The screen on this device is phenomenal, and I'm really enjoying a lot of being back. But but just not being able to do some of the things that I was really hoping I would be able to do on it, has made me feel a bit meh.

Probably never be happy, lol.

The only unexpected thing that I really don't like is the vibration motor. I hardly ever feel it in my pocket at work. I wish they would not have changed the motor orientation.

My battery life is not great but I know that will correct itself over time or with a clean reset.

Good thing I'm not the only one noticing that! I use heavy duty cases so it's a factor. Is it possible s software update could fix that?

Makes sense. I was just curious, because when I see iPhone users switch to Samsung devices, I always wonder why. If I had a iMac, I'd have an iPhone and an Apple Watch...I think that's the winning trifecta. But just the phone? Nope.

I've had two iPhones - the 4 and the 6 Plus. They've greatly improved...but I have no desire to go back. Ever. Both operating systems have pros and cons...but I can deal with the cons of Android, because I love Samsung devices. I don't expect them to be perfect, but I honestly can say I've never been deeply dissatisfied with any Android device I've had...but especially Samsung.

The only app I wish Android had is the iOS calendar app, "Fantastical". That's the best calendar app...ever. It's not gonna happen. Lol.

That is so weird. It's incredibly useful. I have never owned a Samsung phone, but since it was part of Android, at least in Android 10, I just assumed they had it.

Don't know why they'd remove it.

Also, this Bixby cr**p is incredibly annoying. Feel like I might return it just because of that.

What's annoying you about Bixby? Disabling or working around it is fairly trivial.

That it's there cluttering up everything, asking me to sign up for it.
I disable it and change the side button to bring up the power menu instead of Bixby. I did the same on my Note 20 Ultra and never felt forced to interact with Bixby after that, for what it's worth, even when using Bixby Routines (which is a whole seaprate function and doesn't require you to interact with the assistant). When I want a voice assistant, I use Google.

Agreed. I don't even disable and haven't seen Bixby's face once on my Samsung phones recently. Since the first thing I do is change the side key settings to bring up the power menu

Someone else mentioned they're returning it and keeping the Fold 3!

I was thinking of getting the Fold 4 later this year as well. Anyway, it's said to have the same size front display as the Fold 3! Maybe if it had a built in Spen and they made the inside screen more durable. Otherwise I'll be waiting for the S23 Ultra. It's mainly the narrow front screen. I don't know why they insist on keeping the front screen so narrow.

They can do so much with space it has to keep it compact, i love my Fold3 and wouldn't trade it for any device but s22u Note is really good phone , glad i updated from Note 20U

I strongly doubt it if it's a hardware limitation and iI have a feeling it's most likely running at max potential.

I get that some people return the phone's because of various issues that can't be worked around via software updates or a tweet of the settings.

However when Buyers Remorse kicks in then reasons are typically found in order to return the phone.

Did you check out the cameras yet?

LOL, yea. Totally will blow the Fold away in that category!

There is no excuse for the Fold to have a small front screen. The folding Pixel is rumored to have a larger front screen. Most of the big name reviewers on youtube like Greggles and Flossy Carter also agree about the crap front screen too.

I think the S22 Ultra and the iPhone 13 Pro Max are both stale designs. I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max for my daily driver and even though I love it and the battery life is the best I've ever had in a phone, it's boring. That's why I picked up the Z Fold 3. There's something about unfolding a phone that's still very new. I love the tablet. Wish it had better cameras and battery life, but I'm willing to deal with those trade offs for something exciting.

Like previously stated Samsung never had the feature although they have it on tablets. Personally not useful to me since I don't share my phone. Secure folder is more useful in my case, but understand that everyone's needs are different.

I'm not so much after the security, as the complete separation of experience - I don't want personal notifications when I'm at work, or work notifications when I'm off, for example. And I don't want a whole bunch of work apps in my non-work environment.

I'll look into your suggestion and the "kids mode" someone mentioned above.
Secure folder is definitely what you're looking for in terms of not having work apps separately and Bixby routines can solve your need of personal notifications while you're at work and vice versa. If you need more info on routines there are detailed videos on YouTube.
