Buying Mate 7 - Questions on 4G LTE in USA! MT7-TL10 vs MT7-L09!

Hi Everyone-

I posted this on a couple other message boards yesterday but didn't really get an exact answer. I'm getting very confusing and mixed reviews online so I'm trying again as I really want to get my new phone ordered today but want to make sure I'm still getting 4G LTE. I currently have the Ascend Mate 2 and get 4G LTE just fine on my network. I love my Mate 2 but I cracked the screen so I figured it's time to upgrade to the Mate 7 finally. I use Cricket here in US and I'm having trouble narrowing down what bandwidth they use. I've heard 1900 but I'm not sure. I also think they use AT&T towers. Does anyone have any info/advice on this?

On the one I'm looking at on Ebay is the Gold MT7-TL10 and it says it supports the following:
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G bands LTE 1800 / 2100 / 2600 TD-LTE 1900 / 2300 / 2500 / 2600 (Bands 1, 3, 7, 38, 39, 40, 41)

If the MT7-TL10 cannot support 4G LTE in the US can the other version? The Silver & Black MT7-L09 or whatnot?

Sounds like you MIGHT get LTE however that model does not offer AT&T's (Cricket's parent company) main LTE frequency and band 700, band 17, and it only offers 1 of the alternatives 1900, BUT it sounds like at the wrong bands.

AT&T uses the 850Mhz and 1900 Mhz bands for GSM (voice), EDGE (2G) and UMTS (3G) data. In some markets they use both bands in others one or the other. Other than some outdated maps, there's no way to tell where they use each band.

For LTE AT&T uses bands 2 (1900), 4 (1700), 5 (850) and 17 (700). Band 17 is AT&T's primary LTE band. Bands 2, 4 and 5 are used in areas where AT&T doesn't own any band 17 spectrum and also in combination with band 17 in urban areas to increase capacity and speeds.

Okay thanks. What about the MT7-L09 model? Would that be a safer option? I hate to waste $500 on a phone for it not to work. Some people have said they get 4G in the US with it but idk what version they're using.

Compatibility on the MT7-L09 says:
LTE 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 TD-LTE 2300 (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28)

You said I needed 700 correct? That has 700, 850, 1700 and 1900 mentioned so all 4 that AT&T uses

Yes that is the model you want, BUT you are still not getting band 17. But sounds like you are getting the other bands so you would get LTE sometimes.
