Buying unlocked

The UK version doesn't have flash? I was looking to import one too but the lack of SD slot is kind of steering me away. 16GB isn't enough. Also, will all the apps from the imported UK version work as if it was a US version? Do these come with UK or US chargers?

ICS doesn't support flash now. It doesn't matter if it's the US or UK versions. Supposedly, Adobe will release a version for ICS. But, they recently announced the end of support for flash on mobile devices and they are shifting all efforts to HTML5.

Just left my att. He will give me the SIM free and said he knows the phone part of the nexus will work. Just not sure about the data portion. Do we have a fix for this? If so I'm jumping on board with galaxy nexus.

I'm assuming I can just charge the phone using my laptop USB right?

Yeah, it'll work just like any other USB-powered device. As for data, Engadget has successfully tested AT&T's network with the phone, so you should be all set.

Another question is updates...will we still be able to download updates as they roll out even though this is the UK Unlocked version?

I am here: Google Maps

I would look at getting a micro sim to sim adapter first. Google shopping has them. This will most likely work flawlessly in your new phone with the existing micros sim you have for your iPhone 4. By doing this you will be able to go back to the iPhone on the off chance that your Nexus has an issue. I have one of these and can swap the micro sim that is in my wife's iPhone into my Nexus 1 and Inspire no problem. It is good to have options.

If I get the SGS2 will it have the same features as the Nexus in the launch event? No shutter time, panoramic, etc...I'm leaning more toward SGS2 bc of storage. I can deal with GB until ICS is released. I just want to make sure that the SGS2 will have all the ICS features.

so now that the GNex is arriving in Canada Dec. 8th, how can I buy it off contract and import it? off contract is 650 canadian dollars, which is 630 USD (a good deal cheaper than the 750-850 USD range that I've been seeing)

I just ordered the SGN (unlocked internation version) in stock and will ship (free) in 3 days from Expapsys here:
Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus I9520 Android Smartphone (Unlocked, 16GB) #GT-i9520 - Expansys USA for 729.99$ with a 20$ off coupon found here:eXpansys Coupons and eXpansys Coupon Codes - Offers.com should someone be interested.

Wow, I pre-ordered with them close to a month ago and they never sent me any notice that sales were going "hot". Kind of makes me wonder why I bothered...

For those that haven't ordered yet, I believe fatwallet.com also offers some cashback on the purchase (3.5% I think), so it's worthwhile to go through that website too if you can.

anyone have this phone in hand yet so we can get an actual user review. I appreciate the others (CNET, Engadget, etc) but would be nice to hear from someone using the phone as their primary device.

I ordered the phone from Expansys last night with overnight shipping, so it should be here monday... I can post some thoughts on it after a little use if no one else does it first :)

What do we do about warranty issues...i.e. the phones power button breaks or something hardware related? I know AT&T will be of no help
