it does seem so, but at least Samsung did it somewhat tastefully
Idk about you but if it functions well I don't care. I don't stare at the back of my phone.
Maybe that's just me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

nor do I, but you do see it from time to time without trying. better to see aesthetically pleasing than not.I don't stare at the back of my phone.

I also really dislike the notch so apparently I doI don't care about things like that

It's okay I get it. Many have to find something to mock Apple for. Once Samsung does it one day everyone will justify why it's okay.
Just like how everyone was all "OMG NO HEADPHONE JACK? PFFT APPLE. SAMSUNG FTW."
Now that it is gone.. everyone is all "oh it isn't so bad".
It's cool though everyone can hate on how it looks on the back all they want since I like how it functions. I think all phones should have a wide lens because when you need it and can get that amazing shot it's awesome. I'm hoping the Pixel 4 will be the same.
I've seen a lot of dislike about no 3.5 Jack on the note 10.
I dislike the fact iPhones and now Samsung’s don’t have a 3.5 headphone jack but I get it. Technology changes and there’s usually a good reason for it. Same thing with removable batteries and removable storage. We all adjust eventually.
I think it's fair to say both sides of the aisle justify their brand decisions on removal or added features. And I've seen tons of justification from people who mocked Apple for it in the past.

There is no good reason for removing those things other than it's cheaper for the manufacturers to produce.I dislike the fact iPhones and now Samsung’s don’t have a 3.5 headphone jack but I get it. Yep I know some won't like it. That's why I didn't say everyone. I am just saying I've been around here for a bit.. and seen the same people who have mocked now justify because Samsung did it.
As I said I get it.

But here's an idea for Apple to jump ahead of the game with a new innovation all their own. Design the next phone to survive a drop into a bucket of liquid nitrogen. The lab geeks would go nuts over it!

The race to thinner phones contributes to how fragile they are. I'm sure that plays a part as you say, but the trade-off isn't a good one.To save space? With larger batteries, and slimmer devices I think they needed to cram more in them. Don’t know that for sure but it makes sense.

We’re all different though and what we want or need is not the same.
If you had the Aura Glow you wouldIdk about you but if it functions well I don't care. I don't stare at the back of my phone.
