What version of iPhone? Intel chipset is the most recent iPhones only.

The Intel chips have worse performance but the newer iPhones are going to have the Qualcomm modem since they signed the deal now with Qualcomm. I think the days of Intel modem on iPhones are over now.

Intel modem thought had reception issues ? Not performance, my iPhone x never suffered from that .

I meant modem performance/reception not CPU

Yeah they bought all the engineers I believe, eventually they are going to have their own modem like they have the A series CPU which knocks Qualcomm CPUs out of the park. But for now they will rely on Qualcomm modem especially for the 5G stuff for next year and few years after that.

Sounds totally unacceptable quality to me. Hope it can be returned otherwise if you sell it someone else is buying your issues.

My 10 plus has significantly better cell coverage than my old Max. In fact I find the Sammies are better than the iPhones as I flip back and forth between them.

Me neither, since deal was done few months back and they previously anyways had experience with Qualcomm modems, I assume they would have figured out a way and was not too late before the manufacturing already started.

It'll definitely suck if we have to go thru one more year of Intel modems

Just googled it. Apparently the 2019 will most likely use Intel as the engineering lead times would've been to far out to switch.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max Pro whatever is the least interesting iPhone Apple has ever released. Sure, it has a nice green color, but it's still the similar design as the iPhone X. Boring.

My Note 10+ with a Whitestone Dome Glass and the Matrix dbrand skin is so awesome. This year is the first year since 2012 that I won't be purchasing a new iPhone.

It's still early.

That's weird that Apple would use an inferior chip for another year. That's not like Apple. They are going downhill.

They literally only had 4 1/2 months between the time the new Qualcomm deal was made and the release of the new iPhones. There's no way they could change something so significant that quickly.

In defense of Apple (sort of), I *do* like how they have six colours to choose from. I'd love more colour variety.

I like how they make their colors available not like Samsung. Theirs is always by region.
