I have cache cleaners and battery saver. I run it almost daily. Rumor has it that they are memory hogs. No matter how much I check, I can't find how much memory these apps use. Am I better off not having any of these installed? Thanks.
These are the apps.

DU Battery Saver
DU Speed Booster

Usually those are more of a hindrance than a help. I would get rid of them and let Android take care of itself.

I have a Lollipop S5 & had installed the same DU boosters, uninstalled them when I realized what memory/battery hogs they were. This S5 has a great built in trash cleaner. Just completely shut down the phone & it will flush all that trash away.

My grandsons have games on this phone & I went into every app & unchecked "notifications" which eliminates those annoying pop-ups, telling me: Thor is ready to do battle. Notifications can also be a drain.

Some caches are very beneficial so do a little homework about individual apps.
