Cackling static noise when playing games on galaxy s3

I've noticed that when I load up certain games I get this grating static noise instead the games sound. It gets louder and softer as I adjust the volume respectively. Its a really obnoxious sound and its bummer on games that i actually pay money for.Can anybody help me out with this?

Get your phone replaced it's a hardware fault

Go to your phone settings--> sound--> auto haptic . Then uncheck the game in which you hear this cackling noise. I had the same problem and this solved the issue.
Hope this helps. If not, check if you hear the same noise when you connect earphones. If you don't then it's definitely a hardware issue.
