Calendar bug?

Ran into an interesting (and annoying bug) with the calendar, the events that are synced with my Google account, my Outlook calendar events were unaffected.

I created two "events" prior to March 13, 2011 on the phone and specified my Google account for the Calendar, these events occurred after March 13, 2011. The event appeared to be properly saved at the time.

When I get to the first event in April, the time I created the event for was originally 8am however the phone now showed the event as 9am, the second event is for May and again it got moved 1 hour later (9AM to 10AM).

I think its obvious that somebody screwed up when programming how the calendar deals with daylight savings time, but other than keeping track of when daylight savings time begins and ends when creating an event any suggestions on how to fix the calendar?

Oh I expect the next problem will be for any event I create prior to November 6th when the clocks go back to standard time.

Thanks...

I spent weeks poking into this. The bug goes back several years, no one knows for sure if it’s Google or Android OS causing it, neither seems to care, but I did find a cure:

TimeZone Changer is a silly free app that needs to be retrained after every reboot, but it fixes the problem completely. I created a half-hour appointment that repeats every Sunday morning at five, so I can quickly confrim that TZC and hence the calendar is behaving.

I’m told Calengoo is a calendar replacement that also cures the bug, but I’m too cheap to pay six bucks to fix someone else’s problem. Good luck, whatever path you choose.

well at least I'm glad to see I'm not alone with the problem, I'll try out timezone changer and see how that goes, my problem with Calengoo is that it doesn't support outlook calendars.
