Calendar Closes Immediately

Whenever I click on my calendar, it opens and then closes quickly. I thought it might be a widget causing this, but after uninstalling every widget I could think of that might be accessing the calendar, and then rebooting, the calendar still does it...

It could be a corrupt file(s) causing this. Not all apps are compatible wih every phone - thus... causing certain application to not work properly.

I'm using the stock calendar.

Hi Jim

Have you tried rebooting the phone yet? If not I would try that.

Also, have you been having problems with any other apps or force closes?

You can go into Manage Applications and find the calendar. Then you can clear all data and cache. Reboot the phone and try opening the Calendar again.

From time to time the data and cache for various things on these phones can get messed up and start causing problems. Try doing what I said and see if that helps.

By reboot do you mean pull the battery? Also, if I clear the data and cache will I lose that info? I am synced to google calendar. Thanks.

Yeah go ahead and do a battery pull.

As far as clearing data and all that...Since you are synced with google calendar I think it should just pull everything back in when it syncs again. Its cloud networking at it's finest.
