I just switched to Android from Palm Pre (and long time PalmOS). Have the Samsung Epic on Sprint.

I use Google Calendar and have frequent events that span midnight (say 10p-8a or 6:30p-4:30a, or 7p-7a, etc). I prefer week view of the calendar but when I need more info I go to day view. My overnight events are not showing up at all in these views at all. I know that they have gotten sync'd as when I go to List View, they do show up. The events still appear as expected in my Google Calendar when I login to the real site online.

Is this a problem common to Android in general or to the Epic, or our 2 Epics (my wife can duplicate the problem)? Does anyone else have this problem? Any workarounds or alternate calendar applications from the stock one on Epic?

Overnight events as you describe them appear as full day events, meaning they appear at the top if the day and not within the hour by hour section of the day. Super annoying.

Thanks for the response! Is this problem specific to Epic, Samsung devices, or Android in general? Any alternate calendars out there that work as expected? I guess I could break the events into 2 pre/post-midnight events, but haven't had to do that since Palm Desktop in the late 90s I think!

I use widgets that just pull information from the stock calendar. Right nw, I'm using Agenda widget, its a lot like pure calendar widget, but free. check it out in the market.

2016 and this is all the commentary there is?!? The world slips into mediocrity and we have to make do with clumsy work arounds? Shame on you Samsung/Android.
