Calendar forever sync in ActiveSync

Under another thread I was asking about my battery dying and the high usage of Calendar. It turns out that under "ActiveSync" Calendar is stuck in sync to my small business exchange server (I think it is 2003). I cleared the Calendar data and restarted, but it does the same thing. I have disabled calendar sync to see if this fixes it, but I really want Calendar sync - any ideas? Is anyone else using exchange server sync without problems?
