Calendar issue

Just got the xoom last night and I'm trying to add appointment to calendar and keep getting error message.
"Before you can add an event you must add at least one calendar account"
I have a google account and am logged in to it. If I try and add log in to calendar using this info it says this account already exists on xoom

How do I access the existing account

You need to accept the access permissions that are waiting for the sync to work I would guess. Look for a lurking icon down in the lower right corner by the clock.

Try in the settings menu under accounts and sync make sure your Google account is set up to sink (the little round icon should be green). then click on your Google account and the next screen should show you all your Google products make sure that Yuri calander is selected and it should give you a permission screen showing what permissions calander will access click accept and it should load everything right up.
