Calendar Search feature not working

Hello-
I have a Galaxy s3 through Sprint and the stock calendar has been working and syncing great, however I can't get the "search" feature to work. Anyone else had this problem, any idea how to fix it? I teach certain classes throughout the year and with my HTC EVO it was easy to search for the class name on the calendar and get a list of all the dates on my calendar. With this new phone, it does not work at all

just a guess but maybe it got removed when apple won that court case a few months ago that bans samsung from using local (on device) search in the US

I'm having the same problem on my new SGS3. In order to work around it, I downloaded another popular calendar from the Play Store, which does search, but doesn't have a "go to (date)" feature. So, now I'm using both until someone figures out what we're doing wrong. It must be simple, but I can't figure it out. Ugh!!
