Calendar sync issue

I am using HTC sync and when I enter an event on my phone it does not sync over to outlook, but if I enter it in outlook it does sync over to the phone. It also shows a different little color bar next to the event on the phone for the one that I entered on the phone vs the ones entered in outlook.

Found my own answer. When you make a new event on the phone the first item is calendar click on the down arrow and choose PC Sync. Then it sycs from the phone to outlook.
