Calender keeps crashing

I keep getting the notification that says "unfortunately calendar has stopped. I've tried clearing both the data and the cache and this sometimes works but the notification always seems to come back sometime later. Any idea how I can fix this?

Try clearing your app cache through the reboot process.

If that fails, only other option would be to do a full reset, or disable the calendar app and use a separate one from the play store, such as "Google Calendar."
 
Reboot definitely fixes it... but only temporarily. Can't believe that one of the likely top apps a user would use on this phone is so buggy. It's also starting to happen more frequently with the Samsung mail app as well.

Am I really the only one seeing this?

I am having the exact same problem. Clearing the cache does not help. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Calendar does not help. Rebooting fixes the problem for amount of time and then it comes back. The calendar crashes up to 10 or 12 times a day. Using a stock S7 Edge on Sprint.
