Hello, i have been having a strange issue with my calendar storage lately.

It eats up all my power!

I included a screenshot to show you how many times the app wakes up my phone within a couple of hours. I am forced to use ultra power saving mode to keep it down.. Or else it would have waked up my phone 3x times more.. What can i do to stop it from eating up all the power??

Are there any calendar accounts that are syncing? You might want to check if any of them are experiencing any issues with sync. You can also try turning sync off, and then turning it back on.

It's no good. I tried to turn off sync. Uninstall and reinstall the thing. I had my phone for almost 2 years and there hasnt been a issue with built in apps eating power constantly.

There is one thing you could try, but for this to work without the universe imploding you must make sure that your calendar is backed up to the cloud (i.e. Google Calendar, Exchange calendars, etc.) If not, you will lose your events! But the next step I'd try is to clear cache/data for the Calendar Storage. This will force it to re-sync, so I suggest you do this with WiFi to avoid a lot of data being used and also with a good amount of battery, as it will 'eat' a bit of power at least on this first run.

I forgot to mention that i already gave that a try. (Yes, everything is backed up on my google account)

I'm thinking about to wipe my phone and reinstall the firmware. But i would really like to avoid that, since setting up things takes quite a while.

Update: i found a very hidden sub-menu where i could trigger a setting that prevent calendar storage to wake up my device at all.. Now all that is left to see is if it backfires somehow. I use my calendar a alot so.. Lets wait and see.

OK, then try this. Clear data. DON'T add any calendar accounts to sync. Let that be without syncing for a few hours. Does it still show up as consuming power?
