Calibrating your battery and Android

hi guys, im using HD2 Cynogen Mod rom, the longest this stock battery can stand on this phone and rom is 14hr++, with data, background update/sync, apps..game running..e.g last night fully charged, playing angry bird 2 1/2 hrs, surfing the net, watch videos..left me at 52% battery left...this morning continue surfing the net, watching youtube and left me at 10% battery,..now im charging back again.

i still not calibrate the battery yet. but the problem is..there 1 step that is- need to charge the phone while it off righ?t. but my phone wont let it charge while it off...when i plug the charger(while it off) it will turn on by it self...

is the calibration will effect the battery stat?..

please advise..

The directions for calibration outloned in this post are very old - There is an easier way.

When charged at 100%, Boot into Recovery and under Advanced there is an Erase Batery Stats option. Erase the Battery Stats and then reboot.

Run your battery down as much as you can, then recharge. After that use normally and you should be good to go.
