call quality has suddenly tanked

I called T-Mobile support for a different issue, and mentioned the poor call quality I believe was caused by the OK Google from any screen enabled - and interesting they confirmed it's a known problem.

My situation seems unique -
My call quality is horrible, but only if I hold the phone in my left hand. I have tried grasping in different locations... no luck.
It is to the point that my hubby will ask me which hand I have my phone in if he has trouble hearing me.

Had the same issue in India using a OnePlus One. "Ok Google" fix worked for me. Thanks to the genius who suggested this first . Was getting really annoying talking on the phone with everyone complaining about my voice being garbled.
