In the construction business and use a call recorder for various reasons, which has worked great. After the Oreo update, the call recorder only captures my voice and not the other person's voice. I've tried several call recorders, tweaked the settings, etc. and none of apps record the other voice. Anyone using a call recorder that is working after the update? Thanks.

No, i'm sorry i can't help you (and me), but i can confirm that the same happened to me, unfortunately. Please let us know if you'll find a solution. I'll do the same in case a miraculous solution will come up.

I use Call Recorder by Skvalex.

I can confirm that I installed the Call Recorder Galaxy S8 (Total Recall) by Killer Mobile and it works fine no matter what recording strategy you use (the only one not working is the last one on the list "Microphone"). I couldn't feel any difference in quality between different recording strategies.

Tried these app suggestions: Call Recorder by Skvalex and Total Recall by Killer Mobile. No success. Neither app recorded calls. I did read in Play Store, Total Recall reviews that someone couldn't get it to work on their S9. The company replied back stating: "Unfortunately it appears that the underlying issue is a bug within the firmware of some of the S9's themselves, and there may not be a workaround. We're hoping that Samsung themselves actually fix the issue (they incorrectly mapped "voice call" to mic in the firmware)". Maybe this is the same issue with the Note 8 using Oreo.

I use the one by appliqato, on 7.1.1 it was hit or miss.... On 8.0 its dead on..... (Automatic Call Recorder)

I also have Call Recorder by Skvalex. I have used this for a few years without any issues. After the Oreo update, I couldn't hear the other caller at all. Skvalex put an update out that makes it work much better. It still has some bugs. It records the other person 4 out of 5 times. Weird. I have tried disabling bigsby and ok google. I'll be watching this thread for updates. If I figure anything out, I'll post back.

Edit: BoldBeast Recorder is working perfect on OREO with Note 8 US ATT version. (April 19th, 2018)

Edit2: BoldBest Recorder is having same issues as Skvalex's program. It is periodically not recording calls. And the user interface isn't nearly as nice as Skvalex's call recorder. Sorry for the false alarm people.

Edit3: Call Recorder by Skvalex has a new update that seems to fix it's issues. Thankfully I'm back to it. It has a much better user interface than BoldBeast. (May 3rd, 2018)

Edit4: Call Recorder by Skvalex is back to having issues. I'm not even sure what to do now. Now it's worse. Half the calls are recorded properly. (May 6th, 2018)

Call Recorder by Skvalex works on mine no problem and I have Oreo. Just checked a call this morning after talking to AMEX and ok... recorded both sides of conversation and it was clear about a 15 minute call.

I didn't notice the original date of this post and to add... they did push an update to the app this morning. But the app had been working for me for weeks before and after the update.

Just FYI, people. There's no bug in the phone - Samsung actively tries to prevent call recording, because it's a security hole. (Remember, they're the wonderful people who brought us locked bootloaders and Knox.) But Call Recorder by Boldbeast seems to get around everything Samsung does. (You do have to play with the methods in some phone/Android combinations, so have a phone to call so you don't drive anyone else crazy.)

FWIW, I never could get Boldbeast to work reliably, even trying every single option and suggested "fix" on their website (I'm not an electronics newb, either. 10 plus years on Android smartphones and love to tinker with all the options and settings, in other words, I know what I'm doing). Besides that, the developer was a complete j3rk and always responds to all issues with a statement that his app works perfectly, no matter what. I'll never use another app from that developer as long as I live.

I use skvalex also, have for years. It's been hit or miss since the Oreo update. I've had the best luck w/ uplink-downlink. Gotten all the updates & I corresponde w/the developer through email. He stuck w/it when Android 7 was giving issues until he ironed them all out. I went ahead & paid for the app again to support the developer. I'm sure he'll get Oreo in time...

My husband and I were using a call recorder app that worked absolutely perfect (Recorded BOTH sides of the conversation flawlessly without using speaker only) on our old but goodies, Note 4's! Then we both upgraded to the Note 8 which were prior to Oreo, and it stopped working properly on the Note 8.... only recorded our side of the call. Since then I have tried about 5 different apps and none record BOTH sides. I also emailed the Dev on the app we loved, twice and NO Response at all!! It must be an issue with the Phone!

As far as the (Recorder by Skvalex) $9.99 seems really steep for an app like that. Don't get me wrong.... I have paid for many apps I like and I fully support all the work the Dev's put into developing.....
