Call recording on the Turbo 2

Can anyone recommend an app for 2-way call recording on the Turbo 2? I had been using ACR, since I had good success with it on my old Samsung, but I just noticed that the recordings it had made are all silent. Quite strange.

Worse, now that my phone upgraded to Marshmallow 6.0, ACR doesn't work anymore.

I've tried a few other apps but they work only by recording from the mic, which isn't the noise-free 2-way recording I'm used to.

Is this even possible on the Turbo 2?

I don't think it's possible. Google provides no APIs to record calls, so any phone that allows it has added that functionality. Moto's phones are pretty close to stock.

Try using Google Voice. I use it to record calls and it works fine for me.

It should be noted that GV can only record received calls, not calls that you place.

I know someone that overcame that limitation by calling himself from another number... And making a second call that was merged with it... He had it set up so it was pretty seamless and easy but I can't speak to the particulars.

Yeah in some respects it seems like as android goes along it gets less functional.
