Question Galaxy S23 & S24: Display does not duplicate when connected to a monitor/TV via USB/HDMI

Example below. I used to be able to duplicate YouTube videos from my phones but now suddenly, they're showing this. I'm not posting about casting the display to another device. The connection is shown below: USB-C to a USB-C to HDMI adapter to a TV. This occurs with two different phones on three different TVs. Thank you !

You are in Dex mode
Tap the Google folder at the bottom then YouTube and it will show from your device.

To disconnect Dex go to settings>connected device>Dex

I use it wirelessly not with HDMI

Thank you both, however I don't always have the option to connect wirelessly to the display I'm using

I am not seeing anything showing that Dex is enabled, nor any way to switch it off:

The "Play sound on connected display" option is gone. The display below has no selections:

I wonder because you have it connected with HDMI which I haven't done so can't say for sure but I'm thinking when u connect with HDMI it probably automatically connects to Dex

Could be. It was working up until about two weeks ago. Maybe some update changed the functionality.

Updates can change things maybe someone else can chime in that uses HDMI.
Also check your pulldown notifications panel when you have the HDMI plugged in anything there?
