Call Screening working incorrectly on Pixel 3

Anyone having an issue with call be answered when the Call Screening button is tapped? Anyone know of a fix? Was working properly for months until yesterday. Thanks.

I'm sorry, but possibly I don't quite understand what you're talking about.

The incoming call should be "screened" when the Screen Call button is tapped. Currently the call is simply "answered" when the button is tapped which defeats the purpose of Call Screening.

Okay got you. I suggest trying to disable call screening and re-able it. Or rebooting the phone once. But try disabling and reinabling that feature.

I've experienced this when using call screening in my car (connected via bluetooth).

no clue in Canada they never released it, it sucks seeing tons of cool features for phones we own but dont get them for use.

yeah neither can I.. I tried to go to phone settings and call screening but there's no options actually disable it. Interesting.

Try clearing the app cache/data for the Phone app in Settings>Apps​.

I don't use the majority of features on my pixel, but I have to admit call screening is one that I thought I'd never use but turned out to be one of my favorites. That and the Google Assistant

Maybe you could sideload it through the XDA forums? Those guys have modded apps for all kinds of cool features.

Especially for automated robotic calls and spam calls, call screening is a must!
