So with Google messages being difficult I was afraid that the call & texting feature on tablets would be disabled. Checked the phone settings and see that I was right. It's missing from the S22 Ultra. Hoping that I'm overlooking it. If anyone is successful in seeing it help would be appreciated.

Just did a Google search and surprisingly T-Mobile is showing no support for it on their site. This is really a bummer. Don't know why Samsung brings out useful features only to discontinue them a few years later. Hopefully they're working on a fix that's compatible with Google messages.Screenshot_20220225-012139.jpg

It may be unsupported in the sense that they won't assist you if you have a problem, or they just haven't updated their site yet. I was able to do call & text on my tablet & I'm on Sprint/T-Mobile. I did have problems sending from my Google Voice numbers, but that may be a different issue.

Phone is S22U, tablet is Tab 7+.

That's strange because it doesn't come up for me. Granted I'm on Verizon, but my S22 Ultra is unlocked. I will say Google messages works flawless with phone and tab S7+, but I'm unable to get calls so it's only have effective. Guess I'll keep looking for a solution.

Re: Call & text on other devices

I have out on my unlocked phone and I am on Verizon.

I also can do calls on my Tab S7+ (wifi model) sharing with unlocked S22 Ultra on Verizon...

What version of "call and text on other devices" do you have installed? I have tried multiple apks but the newest won't install and the older ones just force close.

My new Verizon S22 is locked so I do not have the "call and text on other devices option". I am not very knowledgeable on unlocked vs. locked, but someone told me that other than for military personnel, all new phones, whether purchased locked or unlocked, are locked for the first 60 days? Is that possibly correct!?

In this context when we say "unlocked" we are referring to non carrier branded versions of the phone. It is the unlocked firmware... locked refers to carrier branded firmware, i.e. Verizon firmware, t-mobile firmware, etc.

What you are referring to is the carrier lock that prevents you from activating your carrier firmware phone on another carrier without your current carrier unlocking it.

It's stupid.... Verizon still block the call and text feature. It is the reason I went with unlocked from Samsung this time. With Samsung unlocked firmware I am able to call and text on tablet.
