Called Htc Today

Yes but if htc is stating that Verizon has phones in hand they just have to pull the trigger to release them . What would vzw be waiting for

Are we really saying that VZW is holding up the TB until they get rid of the unlimited data plans and put their tier palns into effect?

Should I request the unlimited data plans on my phone now and hope I get grandfathered it????????

If this is true than that is a pretty scummy move by VZW!

Would you honestly put it past a telecom company to do something scummy? They who have only our best interests and satisfaction in mind? How could you say such things...

I know, I know. It's just that I feel they could compensate us somehow since we have been waiting so long for this phone and gone such a long way in the dark from VZW. Give us unlimited data with the phone so we can really put it to the use that it was intended for.

So, do you think getting the umlimited data plan now is a bad idea before it goes away??????

you likely won't be grandfathered into an LTE plan, once you upgrade to a phone that can support LTE, you'll lose ur unlimited, so theres no point unless you plan to stay with an unlimited 3g plan

and since verizon already stated (essentially) that we who can afford smartphones should be able to pay whatever they want us to pay in data plans, we can expect to get screwed...

meanwhile, searching for a new phone... ive been off contract since nov 2010... so really need to upgrade...intentions to switch to the iphone4 cost me 1 month and the TB cost me another month... what to do...

The more the "delays" happen the more this makes sense.

I'm very good with conspiracy theories. I have the mind of a devil. So my take on tiered data is like this:

Seeing this extraordinary interest in the Bolt, Verizon Wireless got greedy and decided they can get away with roping the Bolt users into the tiered data plan as well even though it was not their original plan. So they put the Bolt launch on hold until they finalize the tiered data plan. Makes sense?

The problem I am facing with that is there are no new 3G phones coming out with a front facing camera. It would be more cost effective for me to get the 3G unlimited data plan, but what new phone to get?????? IPhone4 is outdated. The windows HTC phone got delayed..... I need to just on something before the $30 unlimited goes away.

The TB is a awesome phone but what will it cost me monthly to actually enjoy it????? just not sure what to do.....

im in the same boat as you... im not willing to pay more than $30 per month for data, it's simply not worth it for me.

i do not want to believe this.
i'm not saying i cannot believe this, just do not want to believe it (even though i know it could be true)

I don't want to believe it either ...and actually don't. But that's the way my mind works. I am bad. I think I should be a lawyer.

same boat. i dont want to look fwd to an incredible, iphone4, or DX. to be honest, i've been with vzw over 10 years and i can say, their phone selection is not the best.

we are almost willing to kill some1 JUST for them to release a phone that is similar (a little better) than an evo. disappointing.

Fran Whoever the verizon cfo said we get a "flavor" of their tiered pricing plan with release of the TB so maybe they're working on seperate plan for TB?

Well in all honesty I think Verizon's phone selection is some of the best. The issue now is the timing. They've known for a while that LTE was coming so they've held off on having manufacturers making new 3G phones so it's just that they've had the same phones for a long time. So again, it's just the transition that's really hurting right now. Once everything is settled and the LTE phones start rolling in, I think Verizon will once again have some of the best selections of phones around.
