Hey everyone I followed the instructions and downloaded the update.zip to manually update my Epic. Everything seemed to fine during the process but now my camera app vibrates the phone and crashes when I try to open it. Also none of my ring tones work, when I try to change them I receive an error as well and it crashes after vibrating.

Has anyone seen this problem before?

Are the incoming calls coming through and it's just that the ringtone isn't playing? Or are you not getting any indication that there's an incoming call? The latter is happening after I manually updated. No way to answer the call or anything, I'll just see the voicemail notif pop up a minute or two after the missed call. The missed call is in the log history if I go in there and check.

I am experiencing the same problem with the camera crashing instantly. And any app where I've tried to change a sound setting (alarm, ringtone, etc.) it causes a force close.

I believe its the sd card try formatting card, but make sure u back up important stuf first

If u unmount the sd card in the settings, u r able to open music and camera app. Unfortunately I am at work so I can't back my sd card up. So if anyone tries it out let me know the outcome thanx

Figured it out!

Throw the SD card in a PC and get all your important stuff off, then format it and throw it back in the phone and your good to go.

My fiance is having similar problems with anything that uses data off of the SD Card. Pulling the card allowed her to use the phone. I'm going to try to format the card tonight as well. My phone, on the other hand, had not problems at all other than syncing the calendar, which has been addressed in this forum.

I formatted card on phone and do not work. I Have been facing this problem in each froyo release. stock or custom

I had the same exact (with just the ringtones) too. I just used root explorer to place my ringers in the phones memory where the default ringers folders are and *my* problems was solved... I never really had any problems with the camera however..
