Camera Failed Issue Please help!

Hello Everyone.. I have been getting an Error on my Infuse when I launch the Camera app. It says "Camera Failed" or it just freezes until it Force Closes. I have tried everything that I can think of.. I have tried

1) Going into Settings Menu of the Camera and Pressing Reset to default.
2) Going into Settings> Applications > Manage Applications > All> Camera > Force Stop/Clear Data/ Clear Cache
3) Updating the Camera Firmware by doing the Launcher trick ( Download Launcher Pro>Create Shortcut>Activities> Camera> Third Option "User" Phone Dump Write) and also via Keypad Dial hidden menu.
Either Option gets me stuck at 99% or 250/253 and will stay there over night.
4) Factory Reset both through menu settings and through Recovery.
5) Rooting and switching several Roms between Froyo and GB.
6) Reflashed through ODIN back to stock
7) Sent stock Infuse back to At&t AND Samsung to fix and both said it was out of Warranty due to corrosion in the charging port ( UGH?!) Ignoring the camera issue.
8) Even tried a Galaxy S II Camera APK
9) Alternate Cameras from market.....

So yea... Im fresh out of ideas Haha. If anyone see's anything I have missed please help. I am new to Samsung and have been using HTC. Any feedback is much appreciated, Please and THANK YOU!!!

All this was done before any type of rooting.

So I have been having this same problem. If you have found a fix yet, would you mind letting me know?

If it is hardware issue, no resetting, different camera apps, roms will do any good.

Jzos, Have you figured this out? I'm having the exact same problem! Have tried about half of the same procedures you have and no luck.

Sounds like the camer is bad. If you went from Froyo to Gingerbread and still have the same problem it has to be hardware.

You can buy and replace the camera yourself. This is just one of the places to buy one:

I got it fixed by following these steps:

1. Connect your device to your laptop using data cable
2. Go to folder: Computer\SAMSUNG-SGH-I747\Phone\Applidium Image Cache
3. Delete everything in this folder
4. Go to folder: Computer\SAMSUNG-SGH-I747\Phone\Android\data\com.sec.android.gallery3d\cache
5. Delete everything in this folder
6. Restart your phone
7. Camera works
