Camera/Gallery Killing Background Apps

I've noticed that when I swipe from the camera to the gallery app, the phone would sometimes kill background apps that should be kept running. Things such as Tasker, my live wallpaper (Muzei/3D Image) and my Battery Reborn notification shade all seem to go once I return to the home screen.

I don't think I'm running out of RAM. Normally I'd have almost a gig left of RAM available to me. Anyone else notice the same issue?

I'm not sure about the camera/gallery causing the problem, but I am definitely seeing some kind of low RAM problem since upgrading to Lollipop. Maybe you're onto something.

I haven't been monitoring my RAM closely but now I guess I should. It can also explain the occasional launcher redraw coming out of the lock screen. It's not too big an issue for me but I hope it gets fixed sooner rather than later in a future update.

The launcher redraw is also on my Nexus 7 so we'll see if it's addressed in an update.
