Hey all,

I have an issue that I'm pulling my hair out with. I have a note 10+, and the camera is driving me nuts. When trying to take pictures of my pets or anything moving, it's a horrendous blurry messy. My dogs' fur turns into a blob at the slightest amount of movement. I don't feel like I've seen anyone else having this issue, so I'm convinced it's a setting that I've messed up somewhere. Any help and or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

First. What camera mode are you using?

Second. Are your dogs sitting still?

Post the pics, so we can see what is going on.

Welcome to the blurry mess. I've posted about the same struggles with my moving kids. Blurry heck especially in doors. It's much better outdoors.

There is nothing you can do. You just discovered Samsung camera weakest point and that is moving kids and animals.

One thing that is helping me though is Burst shots. Doing so, the pictures are crisp clear. Only thing that's annoying though is that I have to go back into the gallery and delete all and leave just one or 2, but it works. So when my kids are moving around, it's Burst shots for me and I have been happy.

Its motion blur, common problem with small sensor cameras which includes mobile phones. Basically there isn't enough light to allow a fast enough shutter speed to freeze motion.

I knew I had it with Note 9. Way worse. Actually left Note line and went to Pixel 3 xl mainly because of Note 9 camera.

For the record. Pixel 3 did AMAZING with moving kids. Blurry pictures were the exception not the norm. Used the 3 xl for 8 months before jumping on the Note 10+. Note camera is more versatile and as I said, Burt shot works good for moving kids and animals.

Motion photos also helps as you can go back to the photos and drag along the motion photo to choose a better looking shot. But with any mobile device low light movement will always be a challenge. Even on Pixels and iPhones. We are not alone in this dilemma. Samsung is notorious for smoothing out a little too much details compared to others in low light tho. Another camera app like the Moment camera app can help overcome some of these issues.

Reset your camera at the bottom of the screen in camera settings, just press reset. After that try turn on Tracking auto-focus it's in your camera settings it's meant for moving objects. If it continues to come out blurry go to the Play Store and get the Samsung Members app - sign in and contact Samsung through online chat they can actually go inside your phone and fix it for you.
