I am not a pro photographer, but do own a Canon 30D DSLR and understand the basics of photography. I was not expecting much from the Evo camera, was hoping it would be similar to my wifes iPhone 4s. So far I am disappointed.
I have the following issues/complaints with the camera:
1) Flash gives the subject a green tint.
2) Seems to be some delay from clicking the shutter button to actually capturing the image. To be expected, I will probably get used to this.
3) Poor low light performance. I was hoping a f/2 (or is it f/2.8) would give better low light performance.
Is there any camera app that will allow you to control shutter speed? This would probably be enough for me to use this camera. Right now indoor photos are pretty blurry due to trying to hand-hold the camera with what feels like a shutter speed of 1/20 or slower.
For people who aren't professional photographers like me, I think this camera is just fine. Actually, It's lightyears ahead of the original Evo and 3D.
I've noticed the flash isn't as good as the OG EVO. Of course that one had 2 LEDs while the EVOLTE only has one, which is more common. But the exposure isn't on par with the OG EVO. But I love the the relatively small lag time of the shutter!
Yea but that's not saying much since both of those cameras were horrible. This phone still doesn't match it's competitors in the photo quality arena though. HTC's optics suck.
The camera seems to take great pictures only when you keep the phone as steady as possible. This basically renders the physical shutter button useless since clicking it seems to throw off the camera and take a really shaky photo.

you are expecting too much our of a camera lens the size of pencil eraser.
This is a daybreak shot, it was barely light out. This camera is outstanding for a phone.
