Camera not very good

Had this phone for about 5 days now,, have not used any mode other than the way it came out of the box. What is hdr mode anyway?

HDR will take three pictures at different exposures (even with/without flash) and then combine them together into one photo with additional contrast. In some cases you end up with something horrible. In other cases, fantastic. It is an interesting option to experiment with.

You guys really should set your camera to the full resolution instead of the cropped 6mp version. Crop it later if you must.

In my case, I hate 4:3 for photography and would always crop it, so there is no point.

Interestingly, I also have no interest in 1080 video- much higher resolution than I would ever want. So mine is set to 720. Longer clips, faster transfer, higher framerate (it seems, anyway), and easier to manage. I like having the option, though.

I keep it on highest resolution,, I upload to YouTube anyway and if I want to send to someone its much easier.
