Camera not working

After attempting to do a barcode scan my camera stopped working. I tried power cycling the phone and clearing the data for the gallery app. I've also disabled the app and re-enabled it. When I first open the camera app I so not receive anything from either cameras. After a while the system will say android is not responding and give me the option to force close. After the close any time I attempt to use the camera I get the message can't access camera followed by a force close of the app.

I have also done a factory reset to no avail

Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so what did you do to fix it?

Never heard of it happening. Try downloading another camera app such as the one I use, Camera 360.

I get the same result as i do with the default camera app. Also to note this is the same reguardless if i try to use the rear cam or the front facing camera
