I have tried everything, but my camera folder is missing along with some others. I cleared the cache, restarted my phone and tried to recover photos with a computer program, but no photos. The photos were synced with Onedrive and Google Drive and they aren't their either. I did find some on Google Photos but not any from recently. When I noticed it, I tried to restore my phone in the settings, but there wasn't anything to restore because the backup had been completed. I checked my trash bins everywhere and the folders aren't hidden. There isn't a .nomedia file
This started after the newest update caused my apps to crash and I fixed that. Where could the folders have gone if they aren't in the trash? And I don't understand how they are missing from my backup clouds. Anyone have a different suggestion?

Welcome to Android Central! Using My Files or any other file manager, look directly in the /DCIM/Camera directory. Do you see the photo files there?

Are the photos stored in Google Photos app rather than Google Drive as the integration between photos and Drive was disconnected a few years ago. Therefore you wouldn't find them by searching Google Drive. You need to check the Photos app instead.
