Camera Problem

I am having a problem with my HTC Thunderbolt. When using the camera the screen keeps flashing on and off. I can reboot my phone and it seems to fix it for a little while. Then it just starts the same problem with the screen flashing again. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you cleared the cache and data in the settings? If not menu>settings>applications>manage apps>all>camera then clear both, this should fix the problem.

I've had this problem twice, most recently yesterday. The only solution appears to be a Factory data reset. That fixed the problem both times I had it. I still don't know why it happens, or how to prevent it.

well if you've had the problem twice and reset both times i wouldn't really say that fixes it. it may stop it from happening for a while but if it comes back then it didn't fix it.

If it was happening only to my unit, replacing it would be the logical solution. Since other Thunderbolt users are also experiencing the same problem, I have no confidence that a replacement would be any better.

yes, but a bad batch doesn't mean that every phone will have the problem. even if others do have it, its not normal and if a reset doesn't fix it replacement is really the only other option
