I was just wondering what's up with Pro mode that you can't activate the flash? The flash icon is greyed out. This is a bit disappointing. What's up with this?

I can turn it on on mine as well without issues in pro mode.

Ok that's weird.

I have version 8.1.0.

Okay, I learnt something. My flash in Pro mode has been greyed out since day one, even with the latest software update that featured specifically camera fixes.

I went into the app section, pressed clear data and flash now active in Pro mode.

I can turn mine on too. I have an AT&T version with the latest November update.

Play around with the aperture. Note 9 automatically disables the flash when you're letting in more light (large aperture).
