hello all! Solution here. I too received the same error "camera unable to start....restart phone". this was after my front facing camera was showing the image upside down and i couldn't switch to my back camera. After smacking it a bit it became disabled all together.
PROBLEM: The cable connecting the camera to the motherboard detached
SOLUTION: Open your phone and simply snap it back into the port on the motherboard
