Camping, Extended Power Outages... How to stay connected ?

How do you charge your Nexus 7 while camping (no electricity) and during extended Power Outages ?
How do you stay connected to a Wireless Network Service in rural areas ?

I'm thinking of getting, when available the 32GB Wi-Fi, LTE, HSPA , would be good for camping trips and even power outages.

when it comes to powering your device, it depends on what type of camping you'll be doing. nowadays official camp sites tend to have electrical outlets, either directly at each camp site, or somewhere nearby. if this is not the case, then charging from a vehicle or with a solar power charger can be a solution.

but really, camping is something you do to get away. I've always thought it was ironic that people camp and bring tv's and such with them. kind of defeats the point of camping in the first place, might as well stay home and go out fishing for the afternoon or something.
