Can a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 be unlocked to use internationally?

sprint gs5 will work internationally on GSM networks . I have used it abroad. You need to call sprint and have them give you a uicc unlock and then you can put in a foreign sim card.

Whilst it is true that the Sprint model, G900P, will work on most 2G and 3G networks, it will not work on most international 4G/LTE bands.

My GS5 was unlocked prior to departure, and the foreign SIM card seems to work fine... the phone immediately connects to the local GMS network and voice and SMS both work.

However... data doesn't. It isn't possible to connect to the Internet. The "H+" symbol doesn't appear next to the signal strength bars. At the local carrier office, in an attempt to troubleshoort the problem, they swapped in a SIM from another phone with data connectivity, but no joy, sample issue.

Got any ideas?

You can unlock for international on Sprint.com as well, so you don't have to call Sprint for it.

were you able to use the international SIM card in the US? my international SIM card gives me an INVALID SIM CARD error and customer service said once I am out of the country it will work, but the SIM card works in the US on a different phone with no error message i meant to quote a previous reply

Is the, "different phone", also a Galaxy S5, Sprint model, G900P?

Which country and network do you intend using your G900P on?
