Can I change my FB messenger font size?

I just upgraded my android galaxy s6 from lollipop to marshmallow today and so far, I really love the update. The only thing that ticked me off (yep, got irritated & panicked lol) was how the fonts are so huge .-. I dislike large fonts bc i mean the phone is already pretty wide and to have larger fonts will only give others the "easy access" of my messages when I'm messaging someone. Yep, sadly i know some people who will peek and ignore my privacy. So is there anyway? I figured it out for my text messages but it seriously bothers me for my FB messenger. Also for the other fonts in the phone like for example, the settings. I made it tiny but it is still huge. T_T *sigh please help me...

Hi and welcome to Android Central, so you went into settings and changed it to 'tiny' but the problem still persists everywhere or only the facebook messenger? I don't use FB so I don't know the exact answer but can't you change the font from within the FB messenger, the same way you can change the font from within the default messaging app on your phone?

I just looked at FB Messenger and I could not find a way to change font sizes. I don't think changing fonts inside Facebook is possible but I could be wrong. I would go to system settings and change font there and see if it carries over to FB & Messenger.

What I did:
1. Clear data for fb messenger.
2. Goto accessibility setting and select font size.
3. then start fb messenger.

It worked for me.
