Can I close lid & route video to external monitor?

I've been looking at the Acer Chromebook 14. When I'm home I'd like to be able to use my 23" monitor and bluetooth keyboard/mouse without having the Chromebook lid open. Will this work? Thanks.

You might be able to use the Keep Awake extension.
