Can i download Apple apps onto an android tablet/device?

my dad says he wont make me an iTunes account because i have an android and he thinks the apps wont download onto my android because iTunes is for Apple devices, not android devices. I want to know if its really true. Can you download Apple apps onto an android device?

Welcome to Android Central. This is true. iOS apps are not compatible with Android phones. There is a strong likelihood, however, that premier applications are available for both platforms.
