Can I flash cm 10.2 while on 4.3

Hi as the title suggests I am on Android 4.3 via ota update, not really a fan and want to flash cm 10.2 Is this possible with out breaking something?

But CM 10.2 is 4.3. Unless you aren't a fan of stock Samsung anymore?

I know, but I was suffering with all the issues that have been discussed about the stock update.

I went ahead and flashed it anyway works perfectly no lag on wake up, no stutter, just better
