Welcome to the forums. There used to be an HDMI adapter for this, but When I looked on Samsung's site, it didn't list any phones to be compatible with it.

I think samsung stopped supporting MHL from S6 and up.

THis is an adapter i used to have for my Note 4 but as you see in the description it does not support the newer devices.
I believe they want us to use mirrakast or something.

No. Samsung disabled HDMI in your phone. It works in S8

I cast video from my S7 Edge thru Chromecast - The Chromecast doggle resides on a HDMI port on the flatscreen and cost me just $35....I love it!

Don't think so. I use ScreenBeam Mini 2. I can mirror/cast to non-Samsung TVs without having to have Wi-Fi.
