AC Question

I'm trying to help my co-worker set up her Verizon e-mail on the Tab4. I checked her iPhone to copy the settings and found out that the iPhone is accessing her Verizon email account through a Yahoo! SMTP Server. I thought this was odd and she said that it's due to her Sprint service.
How do I do this since the Tab4 is giving me choices of 1) POP3 account, 2) IMAP account and 3) Microsoft Exchange?

Re: Trouble setting up email on Samsung Galaxy Tab4

That type of account usually means they're using POP3 (again, you'd need to check her settings on an already configured phone or call Verizon to help). SMTP is the OUTGOING mail server, not the incoming one.

Hi SpookD,
This was my question, I'm signed in now. Thank you for your answer.
Her phone says Primary Server> Yahoo! SMTP Server
And then Outgoing Server> Yahoo! SMTP Server. I can't see anything regarding an Incoming Server. Under a heading of Other SMTP servers there are 9 servers listed but all are turned OFF.

Re: Trouble setting up email on Samsung Galaxy Tab4

Try using the same server configuration as the Primary Server as Incoming for the POP3, and the same server config. from the outgoing server (Yahoo SMTP) for the same section in the new phone. If there are no details about what the server configuration is, then we might have to look it up.
