Can I get some help with a Launcher?

Launcher help

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Only my third day with an Android lol. I'm running Nova on right now and I downloaded TeslaUnread Counter and every time I have a notification, it gives me inconsistent numbers. Anyone have a fix for this?




Shows 6 but only 3 actual messages.

I thought I had heard once that Nova had issues with counters... or was it if you want to use counters Nova was the one to use...? I can't remember, but looking at your screen shots it seems to me that one is a folder and one is an icon. The counter appears in the same location for each therefore would not likely move, in the case of the folder from corner to corner depending on which app was being notified, and having more than one app in a folder that might produce a notification would then not divide up the counts into individual count bubbles. All counts would appear as one. The conclusion being that multiple apps with notifications in a folder would produce a higher count than an icon by its self. This is easily tested by creating a folder with only the one app in it and comparing the count for that folder with a lone app to the app icon. If the counts vary then "Houston we have a problem".

Yea, I struggled with Tesla unread too. Finally gave up. I now use Notifyer+ for unread badges. For me, its perfect.

it may have to do with being in a folder. I use Tesla and nova and i have no problems at all PLUS i use Textra as well.

I will say textra does have its moments where notifications hang in the status bar which could effect tesla

Ya I also haven't got an issue my counters are always spot on,just a question is your auto sync on ?
