Memory full...
Contacts are being updated for an entire day...
Call log is being updated for an entire day....
I just changed my battery...
Did not have this problem while using the old battery...

Something else has gone wrong, the battery should not interfere with apps. Go to contacts app and clear cache, if that didn't work then, boot to recovery and clear cache. It should clear the issue.
