Can I get some help with a reset issue on my HTC One M8?

Reset issue HTC One M8

I had visited Dubai 2 years ago and I reset my HTC One M7 and I realise that the software version changed as per the local settings. This device was purchased in India.
Similarly this year I purchased HTC One M8 in India... I'm currently working in Qatar and yesterday when I tried to reset the device it still has not done any changes to the firmware version. The firmware version is 4.18. 720. 8 kindly let me know if this is fine.

I am wanting the phone to change the software version because there is a particular app in the play store which states that the phone is not compatible whereas there are people with the same device who have the app on the phone

Welcome to Android Central! A factory reset does nothing to your Android version. I'm not sure what happened with the M7, but a factory reset wouldn't have suddenly changed the firmware to a different country's version.
