Can I get some help with an issue using PEAP on Android 5.0.1?

Issues using PEAP on android 5.0.1

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 with android 5.0.1. When connecting to my university's wifi, it usually works at first, but the moment the signal strength drops the phone disconnects and then never tries to reconnect. Manually selecting the AP in the wifi menu usually works to reconnect it, but sometimes I have to turn the wifi off and back on again to get it to connect. I have tried rebooting the phone and have verified that "smart network switch" is off. The network in question is using 802.1x EAP with PEAP authentication.

I'm using S4 (Lollipop) too, but i have never met that problem! Before that happened, did you do anything wrong with it?
