Can I get some help with deleting photos?

Deleting photos

I have recently purchased a Tab S. All the photos on my desktop have synced to the tablet via Picasa however they are not in any sensible order. I wish to deleting them all and use kies to download them instead.

i cannot delete the photos however either singly or in a block

Welcome to Android Central! Photos that sync from Picasa are simply syncing from your Google Photos in the cloud. They don't actually download to the device unless you select a photo to download. If you don't want to see them displayed, go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and uncheck Picasa or Gallery (it can vary with the device). You might also have to go to Settings>Accounts-Samsung​ and uncheck Picasa there.

I am having the same problem. All the photos i want gone have a chrome icon in the lower corner of the photo. I assume they are physically located in the cloud but what specific sync sinc setting do I uncheck to eliminate them?

It's not a Chrome icon--it's most likely a Picasa icon (or a Google Photos icon). Did you try my suggestion in the above post?
