LG nexus 4 connection issues with USB.
I'm using a nexus 4 with windows 7 64 bit ultimate. I've tried both 2.0 and 3.0 usb ports, problem is intermittent. I've tried the usb cable on other devices, works fine. The problem seems to be boiled down to the phone. The problem I'm seeing is that the phone will be read, and I can even file transfer momentarily upon connection to my computer.
I've attempted restarting, and I can momentarily connect when I re-establish the connection with my phone. The problem is that this connection seems to terminate. The phone is past the unlock screen, sitting on the home screen with my app icons.
I have the media device option checked for usb connection to transfer music files and video files.
Just to point out for a third time, the phone is recognized by my computer, and I am able to transfer small files before it disconnects, but anything over almost a minute will time out. So this doesn't seem to be hardware to me, from the sounds of it it's a software issue.
