Can I get some help with the black screen of death on my Zenpad S 8?

Help with black screen of death on Zenpad S 8!

My zenpad S 8 froze while I was playing some game and now the screen will turn on, but it only turns on but it stays black. I'm 99 percent sure I have the black screen of death but every guide tells me I should remove the battery and the zenpad S 8 doesn't have a removeable battery. The vol up and power button method only turns the screen on and nothing else. What do I do?

Welcome to Android Central! See if you can boot into Recovery and wipe the cache partition. I'm not sure if this will work, but try the steps for the Zenfone 2: New Steps to Wipe Cache in Zenphone 2-ZE551ML.

Is the tablet still under warranty?

If volume up + power for 10+ seconds isn't putting you into recovery mode try volume down + power for 10+ seconds. A lot of devices tell you to hold the combination for a few seconds, but in my experience it often takes holding it down for a lot longer than you'd think.
